Ok so let’s talk table decor and tablescapes! One of my favourite things to do is decorate a pretty table set up. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to themes and colour schemes. Whilst there’s always ways to change and suit to different themes and colour schemes, it’s also great to build an inventory of items that can be used for multiple different themes. Think Candle Holders! Think Vases! Think Double Layered Table Linens! In this blog, I am going to list a few of my favourite table decor pieces, that I use for lots of different themed tablescapes.
Candlestick Holders
An all time FAVE!! One thing I always try to add into any table set up, is height variation. And one way to achieve height variation with table decor, is candles! Lots of them! And at different heights. One of my Go-To’s are these Gold Candlestick Holders that come in a Set of 6, and at slightly different heights. By staggering them along the table and creating that height variation throughout, you create that WOW factor that you’re looking for. Pair them with some taper candles/candlesticks, which come in various colours and styles to suit different themes. Or if unable to use Naked Flame Candles.. use LED! You really can’t go wrong with these. P.S THEY’RE ALSO AVAILABLE IN SILVER!
Mini Vases
Mini Glass Vases with a few floral stems are trending right now. And rightly so because they’re just SO CUTE! And effective, even though they’re small.. by adding a number of these scattered through your table, they can create big impact! Tailor them to your theme or colour scheme by your choice of flowers to add into them and BAM. Floral decorations, DONE!
Foliage Garlands
Need something to jazz up your table runners? Or to replace table runners entirely? Foliage additions to any decor or table set up is always a WIN. Eucalyptus has been trending for a while now and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! I use my Eucalyptus Garlands all the time! Whether it’s wedding table decor, intimate dinner set ups, bridal showers, afternoon teas! You can’t go wrong with these. Run them through the centre of the table, or add them around your centrepieces. Beautiful every time!
Table Runners
There are so many options available for table runners, meaning you can always find something perfect to suit your theme or colour scheme. A current favourite of mine are Cheesecloth Table Runners! They just give that perfect soft, draped effect to your table and the perfect base to set your decor pieces onto. Available in various beautiful colours to spruce up any table!
Another current favourite for me for table runners, is to double layer. My go to at the moment is definitely a boho/macrame style runner, layered ontop of a chiffon or cheesecloth runner on the bottom. Keeping the bottom layer slightly wider so the colour and texture is still visible, and adding the neutral runner over the top just always takes the table decor to the next level!
Glassware
A simple aspect, an essential aspect but sometimes an overlooked aspect of a tablescape is the glasses! Never underestimate the impact different styles of glassware can have for your table decor. Whether it’s coloured glassware, textured or a fancy shape or style, the glasses can also become decor! Use your glassware to add that extra dimension of decoration!
